Climb, glide, swim, and sail your boat around a beautiful archipelago in this physics-driven sandbox. We'll keep an eye on any news about an Xbox version, and here's a bit more about the game itself: PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows (through Steam and the Epic Games Store). Our sister site, Push Square, gave it a "Good" score of 7/10 in their review. Microsoft Windows (Reviewed) Release Date: March 21st, 2023. The Metacritic average is admittedly a little lower though, currently sitting at 79 for the PS5 version. It seems Tchia will make its way to Xbox eventually, then, and that's good news considering it's been getting some impressive reviews already, with the likes of GamingBible, PC Gamer and God is a Geek all awarding it the equivalent of a 9/10. Very much focusing on PS and EGS at launch but excited to make the game as accessible as possible in the long run so stay tuned.- Tchia (Awaceb) - □ OUT NOW! January 23, 2022 A schim should NEVER be separated from their thing This does happen to your schim, this schim who is attached to a human being is separated from him early on in the game. Looking back through the developer's tweets, it's mentioned on multiple occasions that the team wants to "make the game as accessible as possible" in the future, which ultimately means bringing it to more platforms. A schim is the soul and spirit of an object, thing, or living being. well, yeah, it can break immersion. You might have seen some talk about the indie game Tchia this week, which arrives today (March 21st) for PS4, PS5 and PC - and if you'd lost hope for a potential Xbox version, it looks like we actually have some good news to share! But I also wish that for the scenes when Tchia consumes food that. I’m absolutely for being able to see the changes you’ve made to your character show in up cutscenes because that just feels rewarding, and is an excellent incentive. Important to note if small things like this make or break your sense of immersion. These skins and character changes do show up in the cutscenes in addition to the time of day you encounter them. These claw machines are another chance to improve your library of cosmetics. Regardless of which trophy your deposit, you’ll get three turns at the claw. ![]() I kept returning to the claw game which amused me when I realized that to play it, you’ll have to pay in trophies which you get from the other games. I quite liked the selection of mini-games they included. You’ll get plenty of opportunities to practice your aim if you dip into the shooting range minigame which is introduced to you early in your adventure. I’m not sure if that’s because I prefer to use a keyboard and mouse when playing games that require accuracy or if there just weren’t as many situations that called for it. But what truly sets Tchia apart is the way it showcases an underrepresented culture and community - something that I find extremely important.ĭespite acquiring a slingshot early in the game, I didn’t find myself, particularly in need of it outside of the shooting range mini-game. And not feel too bogged down on overly complex iconography and UI distractions. It’s an open-world game that I feel gives you the tools and motivation to explore. The game's seamless exploration and ukulele-playing mechanics make for an immersive experience that not only transported me into the World of Tchia but also took me back down memory lane as a wee island boy. As someone who grew up in the South Pacific, I was immediately drawn to Tchia's beautiful world and resonant characters. And fills it with some memorable characters. Tchia beautifully renders a setting inspired by New Caledonia, the birthplace of Awaceb’s co-founders. Pack your swim trunks, and get ready for a soulful adventure through a stunning tropical paradise with Tchia, the second game outta the indie game dev team Awaceb (pronounced Ah-Wah-Seb). ![]() Thank you to Kepler Interactive for the review key. It’s been on my wishlist for a while now.
